Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
These terms cover your use of facultyguard.com and any FacultyGuard project tier, FG System, or Annual Support Plan engaged through it.
What FacultyGuard is
FacultyGuard is a boutique higher education consulting practice. It provides FG Systems — guides, templates, checklists, and communication frameworks — along with implementation support, for higher education faculty. FacultyGuard is not an AI grading tool, does not grade or evaluate student work, and does not replace an instructor's own professional judgment, institutional policy, or legal or HR advice. FG Systems and resources included with them are practical starting points that instructors are expected to review, adapt, and apply according to their own institution's policies and requirements.
Engagements
Faculty Profile submissions are handled through the website intake form. Project and Annual Support inquiries may also be handled by email to intake@facultyguard.com. Submitting a Faculty Profile or inquiry does not create an obligation to purchase services. FacultyGuard reviews the information provided and, when appropriate, prepares a recommendation, proposal, and Statement of Work.
The Statement of Work defines the applicable scope, deliverables, meetings, revisions, schedule, completion point, and price. It may be provided for electronic signature. Payment is requested only after the applicable proposal and Statement of Work have been reviewed and accepted. Pricing shown on this site is in U.S. dollars and is subject to change without notice; the price confirmed in the accepted Statement of Work is the price that applies to the engagement.
Essentials, Guided, and Professional are time-limited project engagements. Typical completion windows are approximately one week, two weeks, and four weeks respectively, but actual schedules depend on scope, access to materials, and timely Faculty Partner feedback. Guided, Professional, and Partnership engagements include scheduled meetings or review sessions only as described in the applicable tier and Statement of Work. Scheduling is arranged directly after the agreement is confirmed.
Annual Support Plans
Project engagements end when the accepted deliverables and closeout materials have been provided. Ongoing assistance is not included beyond the support window stated in the Statement of Work. All Annual Support Plans require a 12-month agreement and are billed as an ongoing monthly service commitment. Monthly payment does not create a month-to-month arrangement. Support is governed by an individualized Support Schedule, and unused support does not automatically roll over unless explicitly stated in your agreement. Requests beyond a plan's defined coverage may require a Change Order, a separate project, a plan upgrade, or a Partnership review.
License to use the materials
When you engage a FacultyGuard project tier or Annual Support Plan, you're granted a personal, non-transferable license to use, adapt, and reuse the resources included in your own teaching, courses, and departmental work. You may not resell, redistribute, or publish FacultyGuard's FG Systems, templates, or resources as your own product, in whole or in part, or share your materials with instructors who have not engaged FacultyGuard.
Refunds and scope
Each project tier has a defined scope, number of systems, meetings, revisions, and support period, as described at the time of your engagement. Because FG Systems include digital materials, fees for delivered work are final except where required otherwise by law. Additional courses, meetings, revisions, or deliverables beyond your tier's defined scope require a written Change Order, a separate project, an Annual Support Plan, or a Partnership agreement.
No professional advice
FacultyGuard materials and implementation support are general systems and reference tools, not legal, HR, or institutional-policy advice specific to your situation. For any matter involving formal discipline, grievance, legal risk, or accommodation, consult your institution's own counsel, HR office, or union representative.
Limitation of liability
FacultyGuard and its materials are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, FacultyGuard is not liable for how its FG Systems or resources are used or adapted, or for outcomes arising from decisions made using them.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change — for example, if FacultyGuard adds online payment processing or materially changes the Faculty Profile submission process — this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will reflect that.

This page is a general-purpose terms template reflecting how FacultyGuard currently operates (website-based Faculty Profile and engagement process). It is not a substitute for legal advice — it should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel, particularly before adding payment processing, a self-service Faculty Profile form, or institutional/departmental licensing.
