Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of facultyguard.com and any downloadable faculty systems, templates, checklists, or workflows ("Faculty Guard products") purchased through it.

What Faculty Guard is

Faculty Guard provides downloadable reference materials — templates, checklists, sample language, and documentation systems — for higher education faculty. Faculty Guard is not an AI grading tool, does not grade or evaluate student work, and does not replace an instructor's own professional judgment, institutional policy, or legal or HR advice. Faculty Guard products are practical starting points that instructors are expected to review, adapt, and apply according to their own institution's policies and requirements.

Purchases

Product inquiries and purchases are currently handled by email to intake@facultyguard.com. Pricing shown on this site is in U.S. dollars and is subject to change without notice; the price confirmed at the time of your purchase inquiry is the price that applies to your order.

Faculty Guard Professional includes a personalized review session as described on the product page; scheduling for that session is arranged directly by email after purchase.

License to use the materials

When you purchase a Faculty Guard product, you're granted a personal, non-transferable license to use, adapt, and reuse that product's materials in your own teaching, courses, and departmental work. You may not resell, redistribute, or publish Faculty Guard's templates, checklists, or systems as your own product, in whole or in part, or share your purchased copy with instructors who have not purchased it.

Refunds

Because Faculty Guard products are downloadable digital materials, all sales are final once the materials have been delivered, except where required otherwise by law. If you believe you received the wrong product or a defective file, contact intake@facultyguard.com and we'll make it right.

No professional advice

Faculty Guard materials are general templates and reference tools, not legal, HR, or institutional-policy advice specific to your situation. For any matter involving formal discipline, grievance, legal risk, or accommodation, consult your institution's own counsel, HR office, or union representative.

Limitation of liability

Faculty Guard and its materials are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Faculty Guard is not liable for how its templates or systems are used or adapted, or for outcomes arising from decisions made using them.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change — for example, if Faculty Guard adds a self-service checkout or subscription option — this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will reflect that.
